PSG 3-0 Bayern Munich | Paris send Bavarians packing

Prior to this game Arjen Robben had taunted PSG saying that “Money doesn’t buy goals”. Unfortunately for the Dutch winger, it did, and with Bayern suffering a chastening defeat at Parc des Princes, Robben offered no comment when asked by a reporter post-match whether the side was fully behind coach Carlo Ancelotti, indicating that there may be divisions at the Allianz Arena.

Two Brazilians were on target for Paris Saint-Germain in the form of Dani Alves and Neymar, with Edinson Cavani’s goal sandwiched between the two.

The result indicates that PSG are favourites to top this group, with a second place finish for Bayern meaning tougher opponents for the Bavarians in the round of 16.

PSG are now only one of three teams not to concede a goal in the group stages (Barca and Man City are the other two), and also look to be France’s only major contenders in the Champions League, with Monaco struggling badly in their group.
