Here are the ratings from the French press for PSG’s surprise French Cup final loss to Stade Rennais. The Parisians were leading 2-0, but SRFC fought back to level it at 2-2, and then went on to win on penalties. It was the first time in six years that PSG had to be content with a single title on the domestic front (league only).
Paris Saint-Germain needed extra time to beat third tier Villefranche in their CdF tie. Thomas Tuchel’s men had goals scored from Julian Draxler, Moussa Diaby and Edinson Cavani to see off their opponents in front of a 22,858 strong crowd.
PSG will now face Dijon, who ended the dreams of fourth tier Iris Club de Croix in their Ro16 tie.
There were three all Ligue 1 ties- Guingamp v Lyon, Nantes v Toulouse and Rennes v Lille. The first went in favour of OL while the second and the third were won by the respective home sides.
