Bordeaux 0-3 Strasbourg 2017 | Visitors follow up PSG win with triumph against FCGB

Newly promoted Strasbourg carried on from where they had left against Paris Saint-Germain last weekend after beating Bordeaux away on Friday night. Bahoken, Lienard and Terrier (the last of the three a very nice goal indeed) were on target for Strasbourg, who have now leapfrogged Girondins in the league standings.

As for Bordeaux, this is a third loss in four games for FCGB, and pushes them closer to the drop zone.

PSG’s unbeaten run in Europe broken by Bayern as Tolisso stars

French youngster Corentin Tolisso scored twice as Bayern Munich handed Paris Saint-Germain their first defeat in the Champions League this year with a 3-1 triumph at the Allianz Arena.

PSG had won all five of their CL group fixtures and had conceded only once going into this fixture, but went down 3-1 to suffer their second straight loss in all competitions, having been upset by Strasbourg over the weekend.

PSG had beaten Bayern 3-0 earlier in this competition, a result that saw the Bavarians sack Carlo Ancelotti. His replacement Jupp Heynckes has masterminded a revival of sorts in recent weeks, with Bayern re-establishing their Bundesliga dominance.

Houssem Aouar | Barcelona interested in Lyon starlet

According to news reports in France and Spain, Barcelona are reportedly interested in Lyon starlet Houssem Aouar. The teenager has been enjoying a fantastic season at OL, and his performances have attracted the attention of scouts across Europe.

Barcelona have been long linked with Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, but the 19 year old Aouar, with his versatility across midfield, is also being looked upon as a potential signing.

With the likes of Aouar and Nabil Fekir in fine form, OL have surged to second in the league behind Paris Saint-Germain, and will be hopeful of a return to the Champions League

Strasbourg stun PSG to hand latter first loss of 17-18 Ligue 1 season

Strasbourg, who were playing in the fifth tier of French football just six years ago, became the first team to defeat PSG in Ligue 1 this season as they beat Unai Emery’s side at La Meinau in front of over 25,000 spectators.

France Group for World Cup 2018- Australia, Peru and Denmark

France have been given a relatively kind draw for the 2018 World Cup, with Les Bleus drawn in Group C alongside Australia, Peru and Denmark.

Both Australia and Peru qualified for the World Cup via the intercontinental playoffs, with the Socceroos eliminating Honduras and Peru getting the better of New Zealand.
