Newly promoted Strasbourg carried on from where they had left against Paris Saint-Germain last weekend after beating Bordeaux away on Friday night. Bahoken, Lienard and Terrier (the last of the three a very nice goal indeed) were on target for Strasbourg, who have now leapfrogged Girondins in the league standings.

As for Bordeaux, this is a third loss in four games for FCGB, and pushes them closer to the drop zone.

Strasbourg will again face PSG, this time in the League Cup, later in midweek, while Bordeaux will square off against Toulouse in the same competition
