Marseille fire Michel Gonzalez- Franck Passi to take charge temporarily

Struggling Olympique Marseille have fired coach Michel Gonzalez and have put assistant coach Franck Passi in charge for their remaining games of the season, including an important midweek French Cup tie against Sochaux.

Marseille are winless in their last eleven Ligue 1 games and are just six points above the drop zone.

Marseille are also looking for a new buyer, with owner Margarita Louis-Dreyfus publicly announcing that she had taken the decision in the best interest of the club.
